Single Page Cover
Some books have an image that uses just the front of the book cover like this cover i found. By using an image that covers just the front cover of the book this would make the cover stand out when the book is placed on a shelf in a book shop. by having a main image placed on the front cover it would straight away be noticed and this would help the book sell.
Death By A Dark Horse
This cover works well as the main image of a horse is placed just on the front page making it clear that it is an image of a horse. The book will easily be spotted on a shelf as it has clear white text placed over the main image of the black horse and the red/ orange gradient background. by having a red and black gradient background for the back cover this helps make the white text easy to read.
Animal Farm
Animal farm works well with an image that is just on the front page as you start to see what the book is about as the animals are looking at a fire. the book also includes a separate image placed on the back cover that helps keep the theme of the book running over the cover. this book also uses the same background of orange over the whole cover and a big title which would be seen from a distance.
